Wednesday, September 20, 2006

It's not so easy to jump on the computer these days. We had our baby on August 16th. We named him Ethan. Eric wanted to name him Magnum. I finally won out. I've always liked the name Ethan. He was a huge baby 9 pounds 13 oz. 22 inches. After 24 hours of labor, he just wouldn't drop down. I guess his head was too big. I ended up having a c-section. It all turned out okay. He came out healthy and screaming. He looks exactly like Eric. Eric is so cute with him too. He is really good at calming him down, although he seems to weasel his way out of every diaper changing. You'd think after all the medical procedures he's had to do, a little newborn poo wouldn't scare him.

Ultrasound

It's a Boy! We went yesterday to get the ultrasound. The baby wasn't moving around as much as the first time, but he was still very cooperative. The nurse was able to get all the measurements quickly. We could see the heart and all the other vital organs. There were a few times when it we could see it's face really well. I didn't get a picture of that, but we got a few fuzzy profiles. The nurse said it is about 6 oz. and my estimation was correct that it's due Aug. 12 or 13.
