Not feeling so hot

For those of you who have spent any time with Ethan know that he sits still for no man... ever. That's why my pictures are always blurry, my hair is always frazzled, and why it has already taken me 10 minutes to write these two sentences (he's "sitting" on my lap right now). So, when he is calm and wants to snuggle with me on the couch, I know he's not feeling well.

No, he's not watching TV. He's just sitting there. I don't think he's ever been this lethargic.

I took him to the doctor on Monday, and the second we stepped into the waiting room, he smiled for the first time in days, and ran around the room giggling and babbling and playing for the first time in days. He also suddenly redeveloped the appetite he had lost, eating the entire food contents of my diaper bag all before the doctor entered the room. Another mother even asked me "are you sure he's sick?" Luckily, the doctor believed me that he's been nothing but sad and pathetic for days, and she checked him out and found his ear infection.
He's doing much better today having experienced the magical healing powers of the pediatrician's waiting room. (the antibiotics probably have helped a bit too)

I know how he is feeling. . . I have been sick for over a week now. I am pretty sure I looked the same way a few days ago!

That is so cute. Sonja was sick last week and she actually fell asleep lying on my chest! She hasn't done that since she was a newborn. So sad, but so cute. I hope you got to cuddle with him a bit! I love his little sweats. It looks like he's a vegging college student.

Aww...how sad. (but cute, of course.)

The same thing usually happens when I go to the doctor--all the sudden I'm better.
